WELCOME TO YANGON

As with the majority of world population, I've had absolutely no idea of what this country is like before my arrival.
Yes, I've seen pictures of it.
Yes, I've read about it.
But, as with everything in life, those alone will not give one an absolute idea or concept of what a true experience is going
to be like... akin to a hot-air balloon ride.
Until one is on it, one has no idea!

BURMA or rather, MYANMAR (I guess this is one way the western world is boycotting the country?!) is a land of enigma.
A land where I've not felt so welcome & a land where its people so wanted me to return for a 2nd & subsequent visits.
I will :-)

The people of Myanmar may be poor financially, but rich in innocence & curiousity.
They are gentle & hopeful people.
It's been a very long time since I've experienced pure innocence in people. & it's here that I rediscovered that. So very
precious...
[Unfortunately, most are pragmatic & cynical in this world.
For most part, & luckily for the world, innocence can still be found amidst children of the world.]

On this very first trip to Yangon, it's a very short but revealing journey.
But it is one that has set my mind at ease & one where it invites future explorations.
Until then, for the best part, I have yet seen the true colors of the country.
But what I've seen left me wanting for more... a lot more!
