| Size Matters! |

What is it about human obsessions with size? Size matters!!!
Tallest building in the world, (incidentally it's also in Asia), tallest structure, biggest
mall, biggest hotel, biggest airplane, largest airport, largest country, richest country...
I've been to & on most of them.
& then there's also the obsession to be the 1st in the world.
The first to land on the moon, the first to travel to all the countries & the very first to
do so b4 40!
The richest man, the richest woman, the richest country, the richest company.
It's all about ego, many said. True (to some extent).
Yet, upon closer observation & reflection, it's simply man's & woman's drive to
achieve & accomplish.
The desire to be immortal. To leave a part of our good self in history, with mankind.
Is it not?

Life is precious; life is short; life is bizarre at times.
In one instant, life may no longer be the same.
A friend recently told me her "ex"-colleague died at 27! (Cancer was the cause).
I went on a short trip & return over the weekend to find my condo's security guard in come over a hit & run accident!
At that age, one just begins to dream & to put all thoughts in making those dreams come true!
After the Boxing Day Tsunami life stops for many families.
The Air France miracle in Toronto a few weeks ago gave the survivors another chance at life.
For the Colombian & Cypriot disasters, it's a different story for the victims.
As time passes, there will be lives changed, dreams fulfilled.
In retrospective, we take a lot for granted. Living, loving, traveling, dreaming, achieving.
Yet, ultimately we all die.
What is important though, b4 we leave this world, we live/leave our own legacy. Our own version of what makes sense.
(& I'm not referring to those whose warp sense of reality eludes humanity!) Our right to be happy & healthy; to be inspired
& to inspire.
